Background:
Professor Hichiru was a childhood prodigy. At 22 he discovered the cure for Asahi's Disease (a form of skin cancer that plagued NeoTokyo's WWIII mega-nuclear fallout survivors) & was widely recognized as one of NeoTokyo's brightest minds. He oversaw the SX-9 performance enhancement drug program at Genai Bioengineering until it was terminated in 2085. When evidence of fake testing results surfaced, Professor Hichiru was ruined. With nowhere to turn to; he left to work at Mobile Armor Division.
He's responsible for keeping the pilots & other staff healthy as well as ironing out the flaws of the SX-9 drug.
Shy by nature, Professor Hichiru spends most of his time locked in his laboratory experimenting with variants of SX-9.
