A former women's Shinjuki (a form of gladiator sport popular in NeoTokyo) champion, Angelica enjoyed years of fame & fortune as the winningest warrior on the circuit. Her stellar record eventually brought criticism & accusations of substance abuse. Angelica was unjustly kicked off of the circuit.
With no other real talents besides her ability to kick major ass with a sword, Angelica eagerly joined M.A.D. & pilots their only Samurai class Mech.
Normally demure, Angelica has a penchant for violence when provoked or cornered; she's much happier to kick your teeth in than argue. Her abilities in the Shinjuki ring translate well to the Mecha battlefield; she's a skilled pilot, decimating enemies at close range.
